Choosing the right job in the right school is vital, and it can happen several times in your teaching career. Being in an environment that suits you is an important factor in your well-being. In this article, a secondary school science teacher shares their experience of changing role recently. The article considers the importance of a school’s culture, ethos and attitude to behaviour management, well-being and CPD. And it gives advice on how to find out if the school and job are a good fit during the application and recruitment process.
